Since 2007, NCAHD has been the definitive source for high-precision mapping, spatial analysis, and workforce data.

The Problem with "Standard" Data

Most healthcare workforce data is either voluntarily updated (membership associations) or incomplete because it was never designed for research (NPI numbers). This leads to "dirty data"—outdated records that result in flawed policy and wasted resources.

The NCAHD Mission

We were established to solve this crisis. Our mission is to provide the nation’s most complete, consistent, and validated collection of physician and non-physician data. By pairing our proprietary data warehouse with advanced GIS mapping, we empower leaders to plan, advocate, and research with 100% confidence.

Our History

A Partnership for Public Health

Established in 2007 in partnership with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), NCAHD was founded as a national research center with a singular goal: to create a workforce dataset that was quantifiably the highest quality in the United States.

Over the last 15+ years, we have evolved from a research initiative into a vital strategic partner for state governments, medical schools, and national healthcare organizations.
